Boys & Girls Club Movement

BGCA is the leading Youth Development Organization with skilled, caring professionals who understand where every kid is coming from and help them build their path to a great future; shaping America’s future.

Since 1860, Boys & Girls Clubs have been on a mission to help America’s young people reach their full potential. Since that time we have evolved to meet the needs of kids, growing to more than 5,500 Boys & Girls Clubs in communities across the nation and on military installations worldwide. But one thing hasn’t changed – our commitment to kids. We won’t rest until every kid in America has the opportunity to achieve a great future. Learn more at BGCA.org.

About Us

We are a 501 (c) (3) non-profit youth organization. Cliff Hagan Boys & Girls Club organization currently has 5 Club locations spanning across 4 counties in the state of Kentucky. We are located in the following counties in KY: Butler, Daviess, Henderson, and Ohio. The organization has both Units and Extensions. Units are our Club sites that are open year-round excluding weekends. Extensions are our Club sites that are only open during after school programming.

We offer after-school and summer programming for kids and teens ages 6-18 years of age. At the Club, members have a safe environment, academic support, healthy snacks, high-quality programs and supportive mentors. Boys & Girls Clubs’ doors are open, enabling parents and caregivers to work and support their families- while young people inside are learning, growing and building the skills they need for great futures. When kids have Clubs, our future is in good hands.

See our CHBGC History page to read our organization’s full history of each Club site.

Why Boys & Girls Clubs?

Boys & Girls Clubs serve 4.6 million kids and teens (and growing) annually. Clubs meet kids where they spend 80% of their time: outside of school. Clubs are doing Whatever it Takes to Build Great Futures by:

  • Advocating for equal access and opportunities for all young people
  • Developing life-enhancing programs that encourage kids to elevate the power of their voice
  • Caring mentors who help kids develop the skills needed to succeed
  • Elevating the next generation of leaders

Clubs are embedded in your local communities, offering safe in-person and online spaces and the key ingredients that kids and teens need to reach their potential. By building on their strengths and the assets in their lives, Clubs strengthen young people’s resilience and belief in their own capabilities.

Our Approach

Future Ready: Agenda for Collective Impact

To foster great futures, a strategy for a Future Ready generation and Club Movement is needed both nationally and in every community. Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Future Ready approach is about becoming better, bigger, and bolder on behalf of America’s kids and teens.

{Better.} Enhancing the Club Experience to stay relevant for young people today and into the future.

{Bigger.} Growing our reach to address unmet needs as we deepen our engagement with current Club members.

{Bolder.} Expanding our influence to elevate opportunity for all young people in America.

The path to building a more productive, happy, and fulfilling tomorrow for all starts with a safe, nurturing place to grow up in. The future needs Club kids, and Club kids need access to opportunities and dedicated champions who believe in their potential.
