Our History
Boys & Girls Club of Butler County’s journey began when Mrs. Anita Jenkins, CEO of the Butler County Housing Authority, realized the kids and teens in her community needed an impactful program for them to attend after school. Through hard work and dedication, Boys & Girls Club of Butler County was made into a reality in 1996 with the opening of the Town Club. BGCBC serves youth between the ages of 6-18 years old. The Club has grown since its opening years, serving only 10-15 Club members to now serving 168 registered members. Boys & Girls Club of Butler County has grown over the years. An Extension was established in 2016 at the North Butler Elementary School to serve youth directly at the school location. Currently, the organization offers after school programs at both locations and a summer program at the Town Club site. BGCBC continues to elevate the next generation of leaders daily.
