July Summer Programming Recap 2024

GREAT SUMMERS START HERE! We celebrated the end of summer with so many community partnerships. We cannot thank our community enough for stepping up and helping our Club members build their own Great Futures. Down below you’ll be able to read highlights of these incredible adventures. Our Club members were still busy daily with activities, arts & crafts, field trips, healthy lifestyle activities, good character & citizenship games, and academic success workshops. We have had a fantastic time celebrating our 2024 Summer Program with our kids and teens! We sincerely want to say THANK YOU to all of the companies, businesses, volunteers, and organizations that have joined us here at the Club to share programs with our youth. We also want to thank everyone we have worked with during our field trips to your place of business. Our Club members have truly enjoyed all of the opportunities we have had this summer. We wish them all the best on their first day back to school in August!



Don Hansen Art Show

Our Club members are artists in the making! They have been busy creating a variety of art pieces including: watercolor, cubism, sun catchers, canvas art and rock art. We are so proud of them for all of their hard work for the art show!

This show was made possible through the Donald Hansen Fund of the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation. The mission of the Community Foundation is to strengthen our communities by providing leadership and coordination through grantmaking and fund development. Thank you Don Hansen & Family!!

We can’t wait to share what our Club members accomplish at our next Art Show. Stay tuned for next year!

Farm to Table Dinner

Farm To Table Dinner

We were able to celebrate our Club members’ achievements in another chapter in our Harvesting Dreams Project.

Members began by planting seeds in our greenhouse then transplanted those seeds to Cecil Farms. Our youth were responsible for watering, caring for, and harvesting their vegetables from start to finish!

This event was the time to enjoy the fruits of their labor, with our Farm to Table Dinner. Chef Ray McHenry and his incredible team McHenry Event Planning prepared and served a delicious meal for us. His team used the vegetables and fruits our Club members helped cultivate and harvest in our meal.

Our BIGGEST of thanks our friends at Owensboro Grain, a Cargill Company, Cecil Farms, White Chateau and all volunteers. This project allowed us to continue our long-standing partnership with Cecil Farms, which started in 2016.



DCPL Writing Program

In July we celebrated our Authors and all their hard work this summer!

Club members had the opportunity to participate in the Daviess County Public Library Writing Program. Each week they put their creative minds at work writing and illustrating their very own books. We are so proud of them!



Dannheiser Fund For Kids

We have appreciated Dannheiser Fund For Kids so much and their long standing partnership! This program continues to grow each and every year! We can’t wait to see our members rocking their back to school shoes. Thank you Dannheiser Team for everything!
