Community Comes Together for “Meet the Candidates” Fundraiser

This past Saturday, our community showed once again what can happen when people come together with a shared purpose. During our Meet the Candidates event, friends, families, and supporters gathered to show their commitment to the Boys & Girls Club of Butler County, and thanks to your generosity, we raised $1,300.60 to support the youth we serve.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who stopped by, donated, tasted chili, or simply showed their support. Every contribution, big or small, helps us continue providing safe spaces, mentorship, and life‑changing opportunities for our Club kids and teens. 

A very special thank‑you goes out to our local VFW, whose partnership and hard work made this event possible. Their dedication to our mission and our community is truly appreciated.

Of course, no chili event is complete without a little friendly competition. Congratulations to our Chili Champ, Rodney McMillin, whose delicious White Chicken Chili brought in an impressive $213.44. His culinary skills and community support helped make the day even more memorable.

As Helen Keller once said, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” Saturday’s event was a perfect reminder of that truth. When our community comes together, incredible things happen for the youth who need us most.
