Fresh Starts, Community Support, and Big Moments: February at the Boys & Girls Club of Henderson
February has been a month full of energy, gratitude, and meaningful moments at the Boys & Girls Club of Henderson – Fidler Family Unit. As our members returned from Winter Break, the Club quickly came alive again with creativity, learning, and connection. This month’s newsletter celebrates the people, partners, and programs that make Great Futures possible for our youth.
Back in Action: Club Life This Month
There’s nothing quite like seeing our members walk back through the doors after a long break — excited, smiling, and ready to jump back into Club life. This month, our youth have been:
- diving into crafts and art projects
- staying active in the gym
- enjoying friendly games and competitions
- staying focused during homework time
The energy has been high, and our staff has loved watching members settle back into their routines and reconnect with friends.
A Special Celebration: Pittsburg Tank & Tower Group Christmas Party
We were honored to host Pittsburg Tank & Tower Group’s annual Christmas party in our gym this year. Their team has been an incredible supporter of our Club, and opening our doors for their celebration was a small way to give back.
The evening was filled with laughter, holiday cheer, and a true sense of community. We’re grateful for their continued partnership and the joy they bring to our Club family.
Board Member Spotlight: Honoring Stephen Boyens & Garrett Greenwell
This month, we proudly recognize two outstanding board members whose dedication strengthens our mission every day.
Stephen Boyens
A long‑standing and deeply committed board member, Stephen is always ready to lend a hand — whether it’s supporting fundraisers, encouraging community involvement, or offering guidance when it’s needed most. His steady leadership has made a lasting impact.
Garrett Greenwell
Garrett has been part of our board for just over a year, and he has already become an invaluable contributor. As a member of our Annual Golf Fundraiser Committee, he brings fresh ideas, strong support, and a willingness to jump in wherever help is needed.
We’re grateful for both Stephen and Garrett — and for every board member who helps move our mission forward.
Investor Spotlight: Celebrating Those Who Make Great Futures Possible
This month, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Richard and Elizabeth Wham and Bill and Charlene Beasley. Their generosity has helped keep our doors open, supported our programs, and ensured our members have a safe, enriching place to grow.
Supporters like them make a real difference in the lives of the youth we serve. We are truly grateful for their commitment to our Club.
